Our pick

EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus: the most room to grow. EcoFlow lists it as expandable from 1 to 5 kWh with extra batteries, and it has the highest surge rating of the three (3,600 W).

Want the most battery in one box? The BLUETTI AC180 (1,152 Wh). The lightest? The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 (about 23.8 lb).

Bottom line:

  • Most battery: BLUETTI AC180 (1,152 Wh). It’s also the heaviest.
  • Lightest to carry: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 (~23.8 lb). It has the lowest rated output (1,500 W).
  • Most room to grow: EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus. EcoFlow lists it as expandable from 1 to 5 kWh with extra batteries, and it has the highest surge rating (3,600 W).

All three use lithium iron phosphate (LFP/LiFePO4) batteries and have a pass-through/UPS-style switchover.

What the numbers mean in an outage

Using Jackery’s planning formula, capacity × 0.85 ÷ watts (Jackery), applied to all three as our estimate:

Load DELTA 3 Plus AC180 Explorer 1000 v2
Fridge averaging 68.5 W (a 600 kWh/yr EnergyGuide label) ~12.7 hr ~14.3 hr ~13.3 hr
CPAP at 56.1 W (ResMed AirSense 11 typical) ~15.5 hr ~17.5 hr ~16.2 hr
1,500 W space heater ~35 min ~39 min ~36 min

Practically, they’re close. The differences that matter most are weight (carrying it up and down stairs), output (the Jackery’s 1,500 W rating rules out running a 1,500 W heater plus anything else), expandability (EcoFlow), and charging temperature in a hard freeze.

Who each one fits

  • EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus: you want to start at ~1 kWh and add battery later, or you need the most surge headroom for a fridge or pump.
  • BLUETTI AC180: you want the most watt-hours in this group and don’t mind the weight. At the time of writing, BLUETTI’s page shows the AC180 out of stock with an expected restock in late November.
  • Jackery Explorer 1000 v2: you want the lightest, smallest box for a fridge, phones, and lights, and you’ll keep loads under 1,500 W. Jackery’s FAQ says its stations are not recommended for medical devices, so plan CPAP backup with your provider.

Before you buy

  1. Run your own numbers with our power station sizing guide.
  2. Check the current price and return window on the retailer page. Jackery lists a 30-day money-back return on its own site.
  3. Plan how you’ll recharge during a multi-day outage (solar, car, or a generator run outdoors only, 20+ feet from the house per Ready.gov).
  4. Shopping a holiday sale? Our Black Friday power station buying checklist covers what to check before you buy.

Why portable first: Any of these three costs far less upfront than a standby generator or a home battery install, needs no electrician, runs quietly indoors, and comes with you camping or to your next home. See how the three approaches compare →
